My Review of Clinique’s Toners

Keep in mind that this skin has an excess of sebum in some areas, but it also tends to dry out in others.

This version of facial toner promises to create a better balance and hydrate the parts that really need it.

Eliminates annoying shine and excess oil that builds up over the course of the day.

It is only suitable for skins where even the previous lotion does not work. If your face is combination, I do not recommend its use, as it will produce further dryness in certain areas.

It gets rid of sebum, pimples, blackheads, and reduces pore size. Plus, it leaves a very pleasant freshness.

Texture

The texture they present is the same as any other facial toner, that is, water-based and it is very light and fresh.

Moreover, it is absorbed quickly, so you won’t have to wait too long to proceed to apply the moisturizer.

This is a fundamental aspect for me, since if I’m in a hurry in the morning, I end up not using those cosmetics that take time to dry.

Packaging and smell

The packaging of each of the 5 lotions is the same but in different colors.

It is a 200 ml bottle with a very practical dispenser. However, in some, you can also choose two other sizes: 100 ml or 400 ml.

The smell, on the other hand, I found quite unpleasant. As soon as you pour the liquid, it releases a fragrance that is too strong and artificial.

I recommend that if your face is easily altered choose cosmetics without artificial fragrances.

How to apply it

Its application is very simple. Just follow these steps:

1. Clean and remove makeup from the skin thoroughly. I recommend using micellar water.
2. Pour a little liquid onto a cotton pad. It doesn’t need to be soaked, but it shouldn’t be too dry either.
3. Apply it through light and small taps on the face, neck, and décolleté. Do not apply pressure.
4. Wait until it is completely dry.

My experience

In my case, I decided to try the version for dry skin, since other toners I have used previously have caused tightness and I have noticed excessively dry areas.

Right after applying it, you can perceive several changes in the skin: the complexion is fresher, brighter, and with a pleasant sensation.

It’s true that it doesn’t cause tightness or dry any area, but in terms of hydration, it falls quite short.

In conclusion, although it has provided me with some favorable results, I need another lotion that gives me more nutrition. Additionally, as I mentioned earlier, the smell is not pleasant to me, especially when I mix it with other cosmetics.
